I loved that initial scene. I had to smile at that. I suppose, being a woman, you could relate to that sort of thing more than I. I have always joked "Yup; when it comes to babies, women have to do all the work for once - the guys just get to have fun."

Darned my constomary gripes Wink . I noticed you used "minutes". Well, not that it is a big problem, you were just getting into the whole more-alien thing the last couple chapters, and I was enjoying every mandible-twitch of it. I'd be great to see the same in dialogue.
Also, you had a Jackal mention a "stitch." Perhaps it was something you didn't give a second thought to, but I would have thought the Covenant in posetion of some nifty medical gadgets.

A Hunter talking and saving Orna? Hmm. Interesting. It was very enjoyable to picture, however.

That was a very interesting "artifact" and even more interesting inclusion of that vision. I am intigued. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Overall, this was very good. I did not tire through any of it. Keep up the great work. Just don't let your other stories' quality drop Wink .

Man! Surprised Your stuff is like.... I don't really know how to describe it...
When I read it it seems like something that is actually happening somewhere in the Universe.

Not many writers can do that for me. You have made it seem like there is this whole other race out there just living life and... Well all I have to say is that you have a special gift.

(sorry about the double post but my last one didn't seem like enough for such a great story. Wink )

Grrrr... That ticked me off! How dare they take her child! Damn overbearing Practitioners... I hate it when people think they know what's best for someone's children. Meddlers. Bah! Mad

I like your stories Jillybean. Alot.

And, um, about that whole "mortal enemies" thing. I never said I hated Jillybean. I had just thought she was somewhat immature. But that's over now. It's in the past! Stop bugging me about it.

Oh, and Jillybean? Did you really think I would stop reading your wonderful stories just because we had some silly argument? Nah. Wink

By the way... I've noticed that there was alot of mandible-licking in this story... With all those sharp teeth, wouldn't that hurt? Laughing

I know where this is going, and I like it. Smile Bloody awsome as always Jilly.

Minor question. How would inquiery be spelled in the situation you had. With an "I" or and "e". I thought it was "I"? Yea I nitpick, o well.

Visions eehh? Your making this interesting.

Check the "other works by this author" link or whatever it's called. There should be "A very HBO Chritmas" or something of the like. I chopped down a tree in Timberland! Very Happy

Fun stuff. I'm kinda confuzzled about the artifact, since there doesn't seem to be a mention of it after Galatash and the cavalry come in, but I guess that's what the rest of this series is for.

When Orna is planetside, he's addressed as Excellency. Does this mean he is now a Supreme Commander?

Whatever the heck it means, it is definetly high rank. You recall whitey was in command of at least several spec-ops squads, and high enough rank to talk to the Heirarchs? Well Orna is commanding a white armoured dude. So whatever rank he is, it is high.

Very good story. I've read a lot of Chuckles stuff lately, so it's nice to find some writing that is not so morbid for a change.

I thought 'Excellency' was a general term for 'sir', if you weren't socially beneath the person to call them 'Lord'. That's what it is in this fic.

But yeah, Orna' pretty good (still scarlet coloured though). Mostly because he's seen a lot of action and personally saved a few Prophets Wink

The artefact was mentioned after Galatash rescued Orna, it was in the spaceship, afterwards Fury's delivered it to the hierarchs.

And I would spell inquery now that I look at it. How did I spell it before?
