It's a good story, Harb, and definitely one that nobody else has really tackled around here. For a while, I was wondering where it was going -- there wasn't any overt reference to Halo for a while, but it's a stunning piece. I really like the title, too.

Any word on when your Forerunner series will start?

In regards to my Forerunner series, I don't really know when I'll start it. It's going to take longer than strictly necessary (because I want the series to be my last honest-to-God fan fiction and my tribute to Halo in general) so I don't really know. I've got the plot basically sketched out, and I've got all the chapters figured out, but I still want to develop the characters and canon significantly more.

End summation, I don't really know, but as soon as finals are over (in May) I'll be able to dedicate more time to it.

A little late in reading this, but excellent work, Harb. Like Raspberry said, we don't see much of this side o the Human-Covenant War, and you do a good job portraying it. You paint a very vivid picture, and you really get a sense of Harvey being just tired from taking care of Elise.
