Dear goodness this is a lot of words.q Well, I'm only a part of the way through and have skimmed some more and two things jump to mind.

1) this is a crossover. I hate crossovers.

2) This is very, very well written with a clear grasp of prose and a well-realized protagonist, which is very difficult with the Chief. So, good work.

God, this is long.

But god, is it good for being what it is. You don't see a lot of well-written crossovers that portray the Chief in a sensible light, which you did.

Congrats, Geoffrey Langland, you make a very good piece of work here. I want more.

Nice job, man...frankly I'm surprised it's taken this long to see a Halo/Aliens crossover. But where's the Apone/Johnson jokes? Razz

I don't have time to read this right now, but the Tyger? You, sir, win one point for a William Blake reference.

Son of a bitch, this took me the whole afternoon to read. Usually when I see a wall of text this big, my mind screams, "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER SCREEN!" but I gave it a run this time.
And it was worth it, for sure.
Extremely well written; I must say, when I first saw evidence of the Aliens/Halo crossover I gave a little groan, but the beginning of the story convinced me to keep going. You have a really great writing style, its easy to read, but at the same time descriptive and engaging. I saw almost no, if any, GSP errors, which is great, also.

On to the story itself.
The plot was fantastic, it played out just like a horror movie, I honestly felt like I was reading the novel Alien 5. (or 6, I forget how many they made). I was a little thrown off by the explanation paragraphs (A plasma grenade is this, helljumpers are that). Just an opinion, but this is a Halo Fan Fiction site, I'm pretty sure everyone here knows what a plasma grenade is. If you don't, SHAME.
But that was an infinitesimal speck on the awesome piece of writing that is your story.
Excellent job, well worth the read.
