I've always had a bit of a hard time with rhymed poems without meter. Do both or go free! .
But that's just my personal preference. In any case, it's nice to see a poem, feels like it's been a long time. Not really much to comment on here but I liked it alright aside from the lack of meter.

Is this a reference to some other work of yours or is the poem a prolouge perhaps? |

Not bad. There's a heightened risk of silliness in video game based poetry, but you avoid it quite well. Like 14th wonder, I prefer meter with my rhyme, but I still enjoyed this.
