Only three contestants this week.
Things are starting to look grim but luckily we've got authors like Gallagher still patrolling around and gracing us with works such as "Letters of a Corpsman: Fate and Cold Death".
Which is if you haven't already guessed by this introduction, my Fan Pick of the Week.
Even though it is told through the means of a letter, the piece still manages to enthrall the reader in a world of deep thought and emotion.
This war is more brutal in the fact that it hasn’t taken so many lives as it had so many innocent souls.
Pure magic, a great line, wouldn't you agree? I think I'll have to use a meme to describe this story, it's like a lobster knife fight.
Words cannot express the awesome.
Honourable Mention only a Bee's dick from Pick of the Week goes to Tau Chi II: Ch. 5 by Myth. Where the hell did this guy come from? This story was good.
The imagery describing Jeremy's nightmares was brilliant and I feel the terror Jeremy felt.
The conversations flowed naturally and the characters interacted well together. I was also surprised at how well the action sections were written. Myth has really got some talent. Reading this makes me want to write again!
It only lost out to Gallagher because of the intense emotion of ENS' piece.
Both are well worth your time.
Finally we had a Fan "Fic" I guess you'd call it, HALO - COMBAT EVOLVED: BLADE OF THE SANGHEILI, no I'm not yelling the title but I should be...
Christ, who'd want to read all that? I read the first dozen paragraphs but nothing grabbed at me, even skimming to the end didn't contain any revelation that made me want to go back and read it.
Less is more, mate

I concur with all your picks. I'll post fuller reviews when I get the time.

Looks about what I'd choose, too, although I've only read Gallagher's in full. Myth consistently wins second place with me, though. _________________

Cheers, mate. I would have gone into more detail but I had a game of Valkyria Chronicles on the go. _________________ We lie beneath the stars at night, our hands gripping each other tight.

Heh, I only meant, I'll post reviews more detailed than "I concur." I wasn't ragging on your review. I don't want to leave you with that impression, especially since I haven't done a fic pick since Christ was a cowboy
