AN: This is my second entry using the game characters in a major role; hopefully I didn't crap 'em up too badly. Razz

Well, you managed a mention on the Fic Pick of the Week:

Deserves Some Recognition: Attack on Installation 06, part 7 by Jake Trommer

This is a strong entry in a nice, basic series. It doesn't challenge your understanding or introduce deep philosophical truth, but of course, neither do any of the official Halo media. In many ways I feel Jake Trommer's stuff has been more true to the original subject than most other fanfic ever posted on HBOFF. Ultimately, though, like Halo, it's not the best of its kind, and is most notable as an entertaining example of the genre.

A good, solid piece. I'm enjoying the joint Elite-human operations and the tensions there, and the use of characters from the games and novels, particularly Stacker. It's very rarely he's acknowledged as a survivor of each game.

My favorite part, though, was this line:

Quote:
The tension between the two men could have been cut with a knife and served on crackers.

I just thought that was great. Very clever.
