You've got another hit on your hands, but before I fully review it, I saw where you were going with the "Io" bit, and I want to briefly correct it.
I totally respect your vision and interpretation of Cortana's line, but what she says (taken from the Halo 2 transcriptions on halo.bungie.org) is:
CORTANA:
Another whisper, Sir, near Io. We have probes en route.
Io is one of Jupiter's moons. The first detections of the Covenant force is approaching from Jupiter. I don't think this means the Covies left Slipspace at Jupiter, but that they detected them all the way out there.
I only nitpick like this because I know you pay a lot of attention to canon and I thought you might want to know. I totally respect your interpretation of the line, this is just FYI. I've just reached this bit, but it's superb so far. _________________ ...now that's some gritty shizzle.

D@mn. Either I got the line wrong or read an inaccurate transcription of the VO script. Either way, I don't believe I actually stated the Covenant fleet left Slipspace in the vicinity of Jupiter, but that the detection was made from the scanning station on Io. That may still be slightly inaccurate, but there's nothing I can do about it now.
*shrugs*
Thanks for watching my back, though, Az.

| Very very good again. I especially liked the short AI based chapter. It is a very nice touch that makes you stories much more interesting. Can't wait for the next section. |
