| Black cats and Deja Vu, nine levels, Asgard, and Valhalla? I don't recall much Norse mythology in Halo. The Matrix references - whicb I assume are intentional - seem to connect to the errors but nothing else (unless there's text in the hex). Either you're being too cryptic or I'm not giving it enough thought. |

| While it was certainly, uh, thought-provoking, I fail to see the connection to Halo. Then again, maybe I just got lost in the symbloism. |

The black cats and Deja Vu did ring bells bout the Matrix with me, but I could see no clear references to Halo. Can you explain, is it just that we're not the enlightened ones? |

| I guess I see it (the Neverending Unfocus) but I still think it's too cryptic. When something has no meaning that is immediately clear, you invite overanalysis. I also see connections to the Halo 3 trailer - as well as the Matrix. I could probably find a whole bunch more if I wanted to (14 / 2 = 7 and there are seven dots above and below the ERROR lines...) but that would pretty much be making stuff up. |

Well I couldn't fathom nothing from it:
Deja vu means 'already seen', it's a term we use to define a particular phenomenon whereby someone feels that they are witnessing a coincidence in sights in relation to a previous memory without ever having seen the sight before. Deja vu of the greatest form? Deja vu of the greatest form would not be repeated again and again, that's something else entirely. Neither would any of the other forms that we recognise as phenomena within that area aptly fit the bill of what you describe. I got a list and a book of them somewhere, they're a bit of a personal hobby to study. I can say that I have experienced at least once(?! lol) deja vecu and deja vu.
I'm guessing that:
| Quote: | | forming the Perfect Circumscription |
means something about the shape of Halo itself (circum = rounded/around) it could be the original meaning of Halo not the universe. Thankfully I've had my fill of random inebriated connections for this week (I'm on chapter 69, Da Vinci Code).
The nine thing being ninth age of reclamation/ the nine planets in our system, the nine rings of hell or just the nine straps on your straitjacket!
| Quote: | no prophecy at the beginning will tell
only at the end, when God's holy city is laid bare with destruction; |
psychobabble, *tap myself in the head*, a prophecy, a foretelling, a prediction of future events will be told... at the end?!!! Sheesh, that's poor use of language indeed. You defeat the object of a prophecy (true or false) if it is told only at the end. And no, no use of prophecy can redefine its true purpose. 'When God's holy city is laid bare with destruction' was the only redeeming (excellent in fact) line in an otherwise inane piece of mumbo jumbo.
Greek symbology coupled with Norse mythology with similar scenes to the Matrix being thrown in, whatever next, the Big MC being the direct descendant of our Lord.
Musings? should have been called ramblings.
Oh how I hate to be mean but this... this was kinda deserved, I don't know what kind of connections were to be highlighted but as I saw it, there was nothing, nothing but pretentious psychobabble. Enlighten and confuse in equal measure all you want, just don't throw a book, a tabby and some bananas together and call it a musing or even amusing. Should you wish to impress us with your intelligence, try to do it in a legible manner. Where was the meaning in this?

Even when something has no meaning it can invite analysis.
Neverending (un)focus?! Sigh, artistic licence indeed.
Still if you're happy with the intrigue (and frustration from me) you have created, cool, whatever floats your boat. I'll take a look at the next one just to see if the connections have been fortified with reason or are as random and as tenuous as this one.
I think maybe I just caught this on a bad day, I suppose I'm being a little too harsh. I apologise but this hasn't come across well to me, I would not be doing you any favours if I lied to you. Not my style. |

| Have any of you ever read any of my other work? I suspect not. I was tired of writing "standard" poetry and decided to try something different. Excuse me if I've offended you, but this poem wasn't really meant for people who don't stop to think about it before criticising it. If I have offended any of you by making it too cryptic or confusing, then simply don't read it. |
