Nice story, I like the fact that you're not afraid to do drastic stuff to your main characters, it adds to the suspense. If you are going to have someone's thoughts, it would be best to italicize their thoughts, it will help to distinguish thoughts from speaking. 9/10

If you do it correctly it wiil italicatized in the preview.
