OK, that's just too much. There is a limit to how disjointed and chaotic a story can be, and still remain coherent. It's fairly obvious that you didn't intend for this to end happily, but ending coherently is definetly a good thinga, and you put the story through so many changes, so fast, that I could barely track them.

On a more particular note, "Neural Brainwaves" is kind of redundant, saying neural pathways, or perhaps detailing some sort of integration into one's synapses, but neural brainwaves doesn't really work all that well.

Curious though, how did Howard get aboard the Covenant ship?

Whoa...that was just insane, man. I've read the rest of your series and the poems that went with it, but that was just WAY to crazy. I hope that's not the end, because I just had trouble following the story at some points. Hopefully you can clear that all up.

Sorry about that. I liked this one. It was really bizarre: he nearly dies, he nearly dies again, and - hopefully - he nearly dies again, instead of dying outright. Uber cool!

I would just like to point out the most IMPORTANT part of this chapter.

The gibberish in the middle - the part in italics. Most important. I can't tell you why right now. But really.. it's most important. Seriously, goddamnit.

Anyone who looks close enough can see it.

Dont worry, dont worry, it was just an April Fools joke.. most of this chapter is random BS that is NOT part of the real storyline. Ren never got special armor, he never met an AI named Purity, and he never died in an explosion.

Heh. Uhhh I never meant to make anyone sad with this joke -- but then again, what was I expecting?

Haha, youre right, Steel Rain. I was hoping that seeing "Part 12.5" would throw off a red flag and prepare someone for what would be an abnormal chapter....

Heh.. yeah.. pretty much, Dagorath. I dont know if anyone else has ever written an April Fools story, but I figured what the hell. I might have this be a "dream" or something and have Ren wake up from it at the beginning of Part 13.

Yep.. I guess this chapter is what they would call "not canon" ?

I dont know. Ehhh... yeah. Pretend it never happened? Smile
