Er. I'm sorry, but it was a bit boring . 'Ruu-thingy was funny, the Elite Major was a bit OOC, the Sergeant was odd, but I liked the way you tied in the "Voyager One" thing. It's funny to think the probe we sent out floated intot eh hands of the Covenant.... It has a disc of Earth sounds and a picture with a man and woman in it, I think. "Oh my gods, the Forerunners!" That would be hilarious.

I think I prefer "Commander" .

Now that I read it again, I could have improved it. Made the Sarge more human, the Covies more Covieish. It could have been better. I'm glad you liked the plot twist.

I watched Star Trek: the Motion Picture yesterday, just before I went online to check HBOFF. ST: tMP also features a Voyager. This, however, is a Voyager that was launched in the 90's (only it never existed) and became all-powerful. Rather far-fetched. Then again, so was this.

EDIT: Oh, btw, Voyager has an LP of stuff from Earth and a sheet of metal with a man, a woman and a map of our solar system on it. I can just see the Covies looking inside it:

The Prophet of Truth approached the blocky object that their lords the Forerunners had made. He peered into the detached panel in the side of the holy relic and saw a flat, large vinyl disc and a thin sheet of engraved metal.

He hefted the disc first, unsure if it was food or something else. Setting it aside, he looked at the metal. A map of some half-assed little solar system from gods knew where and a picture of two naked humans. Didn't the filthy infidels have anything better to do than fill holy artifacts with stashes of old porn?
